Nice Date

Kevin took me to eat at Outback last night. It was so nice. We left our children with our parents. It was just the two of us. It was so nice to be able to talk without interruptions. Kevin has been so busy with building the new room that we have not got to be together much. I have been dealing with homeschool, terrible twos, cleaning sheet rock dust, among other things. I really needed last night. I felt bad, because I told Kevin I did not want to go home. I wanted the night to last for 24 more hours. I enjoyed the peace and quite at the table. It was so nice to not have to say "Leave the salt shaker alone. Please don't pick on your sister. Please stop crying. Why are you still crying? You have mommy, mommy is right here. I know we left your shirt in the van. Brooke don't you tell mommy no. Courtney please leave her alone, you are making her mad"
Do you get my point? The list goes on. I am with the girls 24 hours a day. I love them very much. I really needed the time with my sweetie last night. Even though it was only for a couple of hours I loved it.

I did think about you Heather. I thought about asking you to keep them, because I knew that Brooke would stay if Sadie was there. Courtney will stay with my mom, but she much rather stay and play with kids. I might take you up on that sometime. I don't leave them much, but after last night I think we will have to do it again.

I understand the feeling. Being a mom can be so demanding, and at times it can feel like nothing you do goes the way you had intended! Congrats to you for making the time to spend together. :)

Amen Sister! Here's to date nights!

We went to Outback on Monday night, and it took them 45 minutes to get our food to us! By that time, we were late for our engagement that night, and we cancelled the order (they gave us the appetizers for free).

Sure wish I could've had that steak I ordered! :)

I can really relate! I'm with our children 24 hours a day too. I love them to death, but I really enjoy when DH and I can have a relaxing quiet dinner alone. It truley helps me to be a better mother & wife in the long run.
Glad you were able to get away with your DH and relax for a little while.
