Taking a Break

HAPPY THANKSGIVING

I am sorry Heather, but I just can't finish the 30 day of thanks. There are many many more things I could post about and that I am thankful for. I have a wonderful life and many blessing.
I am taking a break from blogging for a little bit. I just have a good bit of things going on right now that I need to concentrate on. My sisters court date is in a couple of weeks, and that makes me sick to think about.
My mom is wanting to have Thanksgiving at my house this year, because she don't think she can handle it at hers. Her reason is because this is the first year without my grandmother and it would just be to hard being at moms house. That is where we always have had Thanksgiving.
So that leaves me to try and get my house spotless, which I know I can't do.
I am also helping with a Thanksgiving Lunch for the home schoolers, this week. Courtney and Brooke will be working on a project for that, and they will need help.
Just to many things going on right now, so I think it is best if I stay away from blogging for a little bit. I hope you all have a Happy Thanksgiving.

Brooke talking 1

Brooke had been talking a good bit until I got the camera. That is why I kept asking her so many questions. I was trying to get her to talk again.

Brooke talking 3

This is Brooke talking, and playing dolls.

Little Mommy

How Precious!!!
Rock uh my Baby In the Tree Top.
Sweet Kisses

Brooke and Mommy Time

Pouring Mommy some Tea. (Remember I was cleaning house, and Brooke broke my heart wanting a friend to play with, so I did not get dressed for our picnic.)
Getting our Table ready.
Don't our Fried Chicken look good? Brooke cooks very good.
Look at that smile!!!!

Pictures by Brooke

Her baby's names are Annie and Emma
This is Annie, Emma, and Sadie. This is also the picnic that Brooke and I had. LOL
Brooke did pretty good with my camera. Can you believe I let her use it? I kind of felt sorry for her last night with no friend to play with. Brooke and I played babies and had a picnic. She also took a picture of me, but I was not even ready for a picture. LOL

What a Mess.

Brooke loves to feed our bird. She looks forward to feeding him everyday. Perky had already been fed for the day. I saw Brooke with his food, but I did not think anything about it. I was busy doing something and I thought she is to quite. I turned around and she had spilled the food on the floor and was playing in it. She was having a really good time. Almost like she was counting the seed. She would have some in her hand and then drop some in the can. I ran and got my camera and took some pictures. I am thankful for vacuum cleaners. Hey that can be my post for tomorrow. LOL

Day 10

I am proud to be a American. I have thought about this a good bit of the day. This is one of my favorite songs. "Proud to be an American" by, Lee Greenwood.

Break my heart

Tonight Courtney had a friend to spend the night. I was in the play room and Brooke comes in and looks so sad. She shrugs her shoulders and says " I wish I had a friend. I wish I had a friend"
I said "Well Sweetie, we will let you have a friend over sometime"
Brooke still looks sad and says " I want Emma."
I said " O.K, when you feel better" (Brooke has been sick with a low fever, cough, stuffy nose.)
Brooke looks so sad and she says " My friend died" (I have no idea why she said that)
I ask her who died and she says "Emma."
I don't know if she dreamed this or if she is just making it up. We don't talk about death in front of Brooke. Emma turned three and is to old for the nursery now, so maybe Brooke thinks something happened to her.
She broke my heart when she looked so sad and said " I wish I had a friend"
I told her we would have her a friend down soon to play. I tried to explain with her being sick she could make her friend sick. I told her I would play something with her. I guess we will play dolls for a little bit.
She will run to Courtney's door and then come crying saying "I want in Courts room"
Courtney has been playing with her a good bit lately, and I think Brooke thinks Courtney's stuff is her stuff.

Beautiful Brooke

I love this picture that Melanie did for Brooke.

Day 9

Today I want to say I am thankful for two very special friends that I have met through blogging.
I am thankful for Connie .
Many times I have said I wish there was more Connie's in the world. I have known Connie I guess 3 years now. She was a great help to me in our wait for Brooke. We are on the same yahoo group and we both used the same agency. That is how I met her. I think I started blogging first and then she joined. The way her blog looks and all her pictures you would think she had blogged for years. She always does great. Her children's pictures always makes me smile. Connie is one of the kindest people I have ever met. I can remember when I was waiting for Brooke everybody always said when it got close to referral you started spotting ladybugs. LOL I received this package in the mail from Connie with different lady bug things in them. It came at a time when I needed it because I was having a hard time with the wait. My group got cut off by like one day and I was so down because I wanted to go and bring my little girl home.
There was another time in life when things was not going so well. I received a card in the mail from Connie that basically said Thinking of you and wishing you brighter days. It came just when I needed it. Connie is kind to everybody. Many people can testify of things Connie has done for them. I am so thankful that I got to meet Connie. Connie is a very special lady.

I am also thankful for sweet Melanie. I feel like I have known Melanie all my life. We call Melanie our adopted daughter that we don't have yet. LOL Melanie and I talk every day. We have got so close that we are even thinking alike. She will be thinking the same thing I am thinking or I will be thinking the same thing she is. Many times she will ask which picture I like best on something and I will pick the same one she likes. I am constantly seeing things in town and saying "Oh Melanie would like this or that." I think about Melanie everyday, and many times during the day. Melanie is a very kind person. She loves to make people happy. I love the work that she has done for people. I told her that we need to set her a paypal account up and she needs to charge for all her beautiful work. Melanie said she might one day, but for now she just enjoys doing her work as a hobby. She is very good with what she does. She wants it done right, or she will not do it. Many times I will send her a instant message or she will send me one, and she is working on a project for somebody. I have to send her a message to go to bed. That makes her laugh. Like last night she was working on my friend's blog and it was getting late. She had tried for awhile to get it just the way she wanted it. I told her that she needed to rest and work on it again today. I know I sound like her mom, but I worry about her doing to much for people and not getting her rest for school. She finally sent me a message that she was going to bed. I was glad. LOL
The only bad thing about Melanie is she is Oceans away from me, and it makes me sad. One day I was thinking of her and I was so sad. I told her that it was terrible to have a friend that you love so much and they be where you can't see them. Melanie will get her web camera out so we can see her. LOL Now I have to get a web camera so she can see us. I hope one day that it will work out that we can visit each other.
My post yesterday was I was thankful for all my blogger friends. I had to do a special post for Melanie and Connie. Love you guys much.

Day 7

Posted by Picasa

I am thankful for my parents. I appreciate the way they have always been there for me. My mom is my best friend. She is a true jewel to me, my girls, and my husband. I tell Kevin many times that he has the best Mother-in- law in the world. My mom will do anything for Kevin. All Kevin has to do is say "One of your chocolate pies sure would be good." My mom will fix him one. She treats Kevin just like her own. She is always there to help if I need her to keep the girls. She is always willing to help me when I am sick. When I went through my first pregnancy I could not lift over 10 pounds. My mom was there the whole way. She would come and mop my floors and do anything that needed done. She was there when we was waiting for Brooke to come home. She was a great help in bringing Brooke home.

My dad is a great man. He is always wanting to help others. Many times he will go mow people's grass just because he wants to, or if they are sick or out of town, dad will mow their grass.
Dad is the best Barbecue griller around. I love his barbecue. He was a great help to us, when we was waiting to bring Brooke home. Dad and his friend cooked Barbecue and sold Barbecue plates to help bring Brooke home. I admire how my dad is always willing to help others.
Dad will buy the barbecue to fix, and then start calling people to come over and eat.
Speaking of Barbecue, dad is cooking some today. I can't wait to go and eat some.

Day 6

I am very thankful for my wonderful husband. I appreciate all that he does for our family. I am thankful for the love he has for God. I am thankful for the love that Kevin gives to me and the girls. He is a great provider for our family.
If Kevin is not working he is always with me and the girls. Kevin's' work schedule is great because we have many days and nights as a family.
Kevin is a wonderful dad. I often say " Anybody can be a father, but it takes somebody special to be a daddy."
Kevin is the best dad to our girls. Not many daddy's will play dolls and Barbies with his girls. Kevin does this because he loves them, and when you don't have boys you don't have trucks, cars, and little toy men to play with.
Of course when he plays Barbies with them he is playing like the Barbies have been in a wreck or some trauma is in the story. LOL
Once when he was playing he said "Does your barbie have a subdural hematona" (which means a bleed in the head) I might of spelled that wrong. Anyway it was quite funny. Courtney gets upset when he plays that way.
I can remember many times when Court was younger she would say "daddy lets play brother and sisters." Kevin would look at me with a please help me look and say " How do you play that?" I always say use your imagination. Imagination is something great my husband has. The girls love it when we use our imagination. I am very thankful for a great husband.

Spiderman VS Princess

This is not a thank you post, but I had to tell this. Brooke has been potty trained for several months now. I think since June. I have been so proud of her. In the beginning of the training I would buy her Dora, or Princess pull ups to wear. During the day she did not have to wear them. I would put her in a pull up at night because I did not want the bed to get wet. I have noticed for the past couple of months that the pull up is always dry in the mornings.
My sister had gave me a box of pull ups that her son never used. I thought that I would use them and not have to buy pull ups for a while. This is the story to the best I can remember.
Me= Time for bed Brooke. Lets put a pull up on
Brooke is all excited because she always likes to look at the princess stars and know that she was a big girl because they would still be on the pull up the next morning. Here comes the new pull up that my sister gave me. They had spider man and the hulk on them. Brooke takes one looks at spider man and she screams. I think seeing this ugly mask on her pull up instead of the pretty princess scared her.
Brooke= I not like spido man. (Brooke always says do at the end of water spider)
Me= Brooke this is all I have. You have to wear them.
Brooke= I wear my big girl panties. (She is crying hysterical at this point) Of course I am thinking she is being stubborn because the pull up is boys. She wanted them off. I made her sleep in them, because I did not have any more Princess ones. Brooke cried for about 25 minutes and screamed "I not like Spido man."
I just did not see the need to buy more pull ups when I have this huge box of brand new ones. Nobody would be seeing them anyway. Brooke slept a couple more nights in them, without screaming. Brooke did ask to sleep in her big girl underwear. I thought about it and decided that is was crazy to make her wear pull ups at night anyway. I mean it has been about two months and they are dry in the mornings. I have let Brooke sleep in her big girl panties for 5 nights. She has done great. She woke us up one night and said she needed to potty.
Last night she woke us up a good bit, because she is sick right now. She has a terrible cough. When she lays down stuff drains down her throat and she gets strangled. She will cough so much that she will almost throw up. Hopefully it is just a cold.
Anyway I had to tell the story about Spiderman VS Princess.
I think the Princess won. ;)

To Much Blog

You know you are blogging to much when something funny happens and your two year old says
"Thats funny. I'm going to put that on my blog." :)

Day 5

Happy Chatterbox
Growing up
Beautiful Girl

Courtney when she was two
My precious bundle of joy.

I am thankful for my chatterbox. I call Courtney my chatterbox because she is always talking. Courtney started talking when she was 6 months old, and she has not hushed yet. Some days I feel like saying Court, can you just be quite for 10 minutes. I have tried to time her before, and bless her heart, she don't even make it three. LOL I think she takes after Kevin's mom. Kevin's mom never meets a stranger and she loves to talk. Courtney will meet people for the first time and she will talk to them like she has known then all her life. I love my chatterbox very much. I am thankful that she can chatter, because it could be different and she might not could talk at all. I guess some things we take for granted.

First day of NaBloPoMo

Please join me and Heather with 30 days of thanks.
I am going to try this. There is many things I am thankful for. I guess I will start with I am thankful to have God in my life. I know without him, I would have nothing.
