Anybody out there got a Dell computer? If so let me know what you think about it. If anybody has had one, let me know your opinion also.
I have had two HP's and had trouble with both. I use virus protection, but for some reason something messes with my computer and the thing goes crazy.

I have really enjoyed my Dell laptop, but I haven't been as happy with my Dell desktop. I've heard others haven't liked their Dell desktops either. But to be honest, my desktop is a low level, and I am thinking that some of my annoyances are part of having a cheaper model.
My laptop, on the other hand, was NOT a cheap model, AND we bought a 3-year service contract on it. We had to have them out here twice (the same problem, must not have been fixed right the first time), but they were SO easy to work with, came to the house, and fixed it right on my counter at no cost to me.
I have NEVER had problems like what you've had. Mine were like the power cord wouldn't recharge the battery. Easy stuff.
If I wasn't so interested in getting a Mac next time, I would definitely get a Dell laptop again. But only WITH the service plan. It's just peace of mind. A girl's gotta have her computer, ya know!
I just got a Dell Laptop and love it! On the recommendation of my cousin's DH an IT guy, I also got the 3 year service plan. So far I have had it a month and going strong. We also have a Dell Desktop, it crashed a couple years ago but my cousin's DH rebuilt it and it has been fine. Just too old for me with having a business online so I would never go back to using it after having my new one. New one with service plan came out around $1300 but I got a faster hard drive - DVD burner - larger battery and a couple of other options - no software.
love my dell. Caitlyn toor my letters off the keyboard, had a new one here with instructions the next day free. Its been great for us.
