So many new things have happened in just one week. It has not been a good week for me. My oldest Darling turned 13 and that makes me sad. I have not updated in awhile. I will try and add some pictures later. Brooke is doing well. She is reading and doing very well in school. She is doing first grade. She loves art and loves to draw and make things. I went into her room and looked on the floor and saw hair. :( I am not sure what Brookie was thinking but I think she wanted bangs. She had this weird style with half cut that barely would go in the barrette. My sister fixed it so it don't look to bad now. I guess her scissors will have to be put up now. She has cut with scissors forever and never did that.

Courtney is doing great. She likes school. She loves to write. She thinks she is 16.

Our sweet Perky bird died this week and it was sad for us. We had him for 8 years. He was a wonderful pet. Don't know what happened to him. When I found him in his cage he was barely breathing.

Brooke's surgery went well. She had some pain the night of surgery, but she recovered quickly. Her doctor said the hernia was very large and that Brooke would probably not be able to walk the first day and that we would have to carry her. Brooke was able to walk with a limp but she walked and did great. The day after surgery she was bouncing off the walls and you would never knew she had surgery the day before. :)

Brooke will be having surgery tomorrow. She has a hernia. I hate the thoughts of my baby being put to sleep. Brooke is doing well with it. I am not so sure how she will do tomorrow because she is a big mommy's girl. I think the hardest thing on her will be when they take her back and mommy can't go. It will be hard on me also.
Brooke has a bear from build a bear and the bear will go with her. The bear has scrubs to wear to surgery. Brooke also received a special bear from her friend Emily.

Me and one of my friends took the girls to the rodeo. We had a really fun time. Brooke did not want to go because she said she did not like to see animals get hurt. This is our dog Boomer. Boomer has a very long story. We got Boomer awhile back. I had lost a good bit of sleep before we got Boomer just because I was worried about the decision of a inside dog. The lady that had Boomer was getting rid of him because she was single and she did not have time for Boomer anymore. Boomer was crated almost all day and the lady felt he needed another dog or a family that could give him more attention. Boomer came with many things. He has his own toy box full of toys. He came with His crate and the cover and bumper pads for the crate. Gates to keep him in one area came with him. He had been fixed. He came with his own toothbrush, paste, food, and snacks. The best thing Boomer was trained. I knew I would not have to go through the training and that was great. When Boomer got to our house Brooke was so scared of him. She would not get off the couch. Courtney started sneezing and breaking out. I was like very stressed. So I said Boomer had to go. After I advertised him I had two people that wanted him. The one lady had children and she wanted Boomer. The problem was by the time she got him my girls had done fell in love with Boomer. I felt we was making the right choice to let Boomer go to a new home.
It was a bad mistake. Brooke grieved for days and days. Courtney did also but not like Brooke. Brooke would beg for Boomer back. I told her we could not take somebody else's dog that
Boomer had a new place to live. Everyday for a month Brooke would talk about Boomer. I was feeling like a terrible mom. Brooke would say in the sweetest voice, "It is your fault mommy that Boomer is gone." I felt terrible. After about 2 weeks I started praying that if Boomer was meant for us that God would work something out for us to get him back. I knew I would never find a deal like I had got with Boomer. I also knew that the lady who bought Boomer loved him. I would email her to see how he was. She always talked about how much they love him and how well he was doing. I also saw pictures of her daughter with Boomer and you could tell she loved him. I was still dealing with tears from my girls. I tried to tell them that we needed to go on and forget Boomer, but I still had that nagging feeling that he was meant for us.
I continued to pray about it. I thought I would give it one more shot and ask the lady how it was going. It had been a month at this point. She told me it was going great that they adored Boomer. The lady also knew that I wanted first choice if she ever did get rid of Boomer. Two days after I emailed her she emailed me and told me that they were going to have to let Boomer go. I will not go into the details, on here, but basically there was some problems and their daughter was not ready for a inside dog.
The lady even told me that if I had been praying that it was working.
So we went and got Boomer and did not tell Brooke. Courtney was thrilled. She went with me to pick Boomer up. He remembered us. When we got him home he remember where the door was and everything. When Brooke walked in and saw Boomer she started laughing and smiling and I knew everything was just right. Boomer has became my girls best friend. He has some areas that need working on but he is perfect for us. My main thing I don't like is Boomer barks terrible when company comes over. That is a area we have got to improve. I did not tell all the details with Boomer because it would take forever, but I do believe he was meant for us.

I had a Thoracic Epidural Injection done Tuesday for my back. I have not been able to pick Brooke up and she has had a very hard time with this. I think since she knows I can't it makes it harder on her. Courtney and Brooke have both been helpful.
Brooke cleaned the whole play room up by herself. All the toys were picked up and it looked great. She went and made her bed up.(She tried I should say) She came and told me what she did. This is what she said." Mom, I thought it would help your back feel better so I cleaned up all by myself."
I went and looked and was so proud of her. I had to take a picture of the bed because it was so funny. She really did try. Take a look of her bed that she made up.

Me Update

We just got back from camping. It was the worst camping trip ever. I was sick the whole time. I still feel horrible. My throat is on fire and my head hurts so bad. My energy level is gone. I will try and post pictures later from our trip.

I also had a MRI done last week on my back. The results were not good. I have three herniated disk in my back. The upper back is bad. My options are surgery or shots. I think the shots is what I am going to do. Surgery scares me.
The one herniated disk is pressing into my spinal cord. The nurse said I have many reason to be in pain. This is very hard on me because I am a go getter and I like to do things for myself. Kevin does not want me to pick anything up. He is more worried than I am. Brooke is having a hard time with me not picking her up. That makes it hard for me.
If the shots will ease the pain that will be great. If not then we will just take it one day at a time.
This is a short update. I will try and add pictures later from our trip.

I did not have a good time. Between my back and not feeling well I was pretty miserable.

I am really behind on posting. Colleen has always been one of my favorite people. She is like a grandmother to me and my family. We used to get together almost every Friday night and play games together. Things change when children come along. We still love to get with her and play Rook. I have been so busy since Friday. I have not had time to catch my breath. Friday I took the girls ice skating for the first time. Brooke hated it.
Friday night we had a birthday party to go to. It was a fun night. Everybody got babysitters and we had 3 tables of rook going. We had great food, games, and friends. It was a wonderful night.
Saturday I got up and had to prepare for Brooke's party. Brooke had a nice party. You can not convince her that she is not 4 yet. Her birthday is this Friday, but she don't understand that. We are not arguing with her. We are just letting her think she is 4.
As soon as the party was over we got a phone call from some more friends. They wanted us to come eat lasagna and play games. We had a great time again. The lasagna was the best I have ever had. We did not stay late because we had church the next day and I was so tired. When I went to bed I died. LOL I was so tired that it did not take me a minute to go to sleep.
Sunday we had church. As soon as Church was over we went to a Chinese New Year Celebration. Brooke enjoyed it. She won a beautiful Barbie. It was a collectors doll, so it was very beautiful.
We left the Chinese New Year, and went back to church.
Today I feel like I can finally breath a little bit. I feel like I have been a very busy bee. I have a good bit to do today and really the rest of the week, but hopefully I can get some pictures on here soon. Now you know about my fun......but very busy weekend.

Lauren spent the night with Courtney. I surprised them and did a foot massage on them. I got the hot water ready, soft music playing, and some pink lemonade. The girls were so happy, and they loved it. I used my Body Shop foot supplies on them. The room smelled like peppermints. The girls said their feet felt wonderful. Brooke had to get in on the action also. She laughed and said that it tickled.
I wanted to soak my feet also, but I was to tired by the time I got through with theirs and got everything cleaned back up.

Brooke is finally enjoying baby dolls. She started really loving them about 2 months ago. I ask her what she wanted for Christmas and she told me baby dolls with hair, little pony, and pet shop.
I ask her again one day what she wanted and she said, " Mom, I done told you. Just three things. Those dolls, pet shop, and little pony."
She is so funny. I am so thankful I got those things early. With Kevin's job still not steady we will not be doing as much for Christmas this year.
I think the girls understand though. I tried to tell them that Christmas is about much more than getting.
The girls started going through their toys and wanting to give them to people.
My girls always take good care of their toys. They are not rough on their toys. They went through some of their toys to give away and the toys looked new still.

Kevin and I went out last night for our Anniversary. We had a nice time. We had planned on letting the girls spend the night with somebody and going off for a couple of days. With Kevin's hours getting cut we decided to wait and just go out to eat. The girls were still going to spend the night with somebody. Brooke would not stay. She cried and cried wanting me. We had to finally go get her because I could not stand knowing she was upset. When I picked her up she said, " I would stay with Grandma if you stay to mommy." LOL
I was like "I don't want to stay. I want to be with daddy tonight." She then tells me how much she missed me and that she wanted me and nobody else. Kevin wanted to know where he fit in the picture. Brooke informed him that she loved him and missed him, but she wanted her mommy.
I don't know if Brooke will ever stay with anybody. I have just got where I can leave her for several hours and she is o.k. I guess it is a good thing Kevin and I did not go off for a couple of days. Brooke would have been miserable and made everybody else that way.
Kevin and I had a nice date for a few hours anyway. It was so nice to be able to sit and talk without the children. I love them so much, and I would not trade them for anything, but I did enjoy a few hours of quite time. Normally they are both like a radio that plays all day. You turn them on in the morning and they go all day until they get in bed.

We had a nice Thanksgiving. We went to my mom's for Thanksgiving. I was so glad to get to see my niece and nephew. When they were younger they spent many days at our house and we spoiled them. As they got older they drifted. I have not saw Wesley in probably a year. I see Liz a little more, but not much. We had a wonderful time. I love all my nieces and nephews. I wish they could stay little forever.

I wish we had went outside and played in the leaves when they first fell. They were so beautiful with their fall colors. We waited to late and the leaves were all brown and ugly. Brooke did not care. She loved it. Courtney would not play in them. She jumped like once I think and went inside. Brooke was full of smiles.

We went to Brooke's school for a Thanksgiving Feast. I have to say it was delicious. The school went out of their way to make it nice. Each child brought something to help with the feast. We had Ham, corn, green beans, cream potatoes, dressing, and pumpkin pie. The food was so good. I felt a little bad for this one child. It seemed like every child had somebody there with them to enjoy the feast. This one little boy did not have anybody. Courtney sat by him and tried to talk to him. I made a special effort to talk to him. It broke my heart to see all the children with somebody except this little boy. There was probably 40 children. This one little boy's parents came up about the time everybody was through eating. It was also 20 minutes until the children had to leave for the day. They might of had to work or something. I don't know their circumstance, but it really bothered me to see this little fellow by himself.
We had a really nice time. Brooke was thrilled that we made it for her feast. I appreciate the effort that Kevin puts into being there for the girls. Kevin had worked all night and he was so tired. I told him not to worry about coming. He would not hear of it. He told me that he went for Courtney's things and he would not miss Brooke's. Kevin has always went with me to the girls Doctor's appointments, and most of their school things. I appreciate the time he takes for the girls. I know after working all night it would have been easy to just came home and went to bed. Brooke was so happy that her daddy was there for her.

Courtney got new glasses. Her prescription changed some for the better. It has been over two years since we had to get her glasses. This was a very hard task. The style has changed so much the past two years. I don't like the new glasses that are out now. They remind me of glasses that I had when I was a kid. I like the wire frames on Courtney. The problem with that was nobody had very many to choose from. Most of what we saw was the plastic frames. We went to many places to look. Courtney also is not in a kid's frame any more. That made it much harder. Finally after much looking and praying for God to help us find the right ones, we found them. If you only knew how long it took us to find them. It was way longer than ever before.
There is two things I am going to love about Courtney's new glasses. One.....We bought a extra thing with them where there is no glare. I will love taking pictures of her and not having that glare. Two we did not buy the sunglasses tint this time. I will love taking outside shots and not having the glasses so dark that you can't see Courtney's eyes.

School at the Park.

We had awards Sunday at our church. This was Brooke's first time to receive an award. The children start Sunday School at two and half. Brooke got a award for perfect attendance. I did not know if she would go up or not, but she did. You can tell on the one picture that she looks scared. Her dad did not take to good of a picture. I wanted him to take two in case one did not do, but he did not have time. Brooke was walking to fast. LOL

I think I have the most awesome husband in the world. Kevin was off tonight and I really wanted to rearrange our bedroom. I have had the furniture the same way forever. I also borrowed my Mother -n- law's Rainbow Vacuum to try and clean our room. That is the best vacuum I have ever used. I would love to have one, but they are just to expensive.
Kevin knew I wanted our room rearranged so he takes the bed apart. (It is a King Size) We move the mattress and different things into the living room. I do some major cleaning under our bed with the vacuum cleaner. Kevin turns the bed the way I suggested. After he worked so hard and moved everything, I did not like it. I hated to say anything, but I had to be honest. He rolled his eyes and shook his head and turned it back the way we had it. I love that man so much. I think we spent 2 hours or so cleaning and rearranging the room.
The room looks and smells so good now.
I had to take a moment to brag on my wonderful husband. I told him I was more trouble than I was worth. He did not comment. I appreciate how Kevin is so good to me and the girls. He has so much patience. I wish I was more like him. Kevin treats me like a queen. Some people have said I am spoiled. I don't think so, just truly blessed.

The fire that Kevin used to burn the long pieces down.

We came home Friday night to find our yard had been rolled. I thought this type stuff happened when your children became teenagers and their friends did it. I thought it might be Courtney's friends, but most of them are to young to be out with out an adult. Maybe the adults helped them. Hmmm Makes me wonder.

I can remember when I was a young person I had a few of my guy friends roll my yard. They even rolled my dads dog. Soon after that my dads dog started having seizures. My dad still wonders if those boys did something to his dog. I am married to one of those boys, and he has not confessed to anything yet.

Kevin was not to happy when he saw our yard Friday night. I had to quickly remind him of the times he rolled yards. Kevin wanted the paper down Friday night so that the person who did it could not come by Saturday morning and laugh. LOL
Some of the paper was high in the trees. Kevin burned the paper and let it fall to the ground. I was getting kind of worried that our trees were going to catch fire. We only have a few and I sure did not want them to burn. After 20 minutes or so we had the yard cleaned up. Brooke cried and cried because she thought the paper was ghost.

Kelly and Chris.........you better be glad yall were at church that night or you would be getting blamed for this one.:) Did yall leave church early??LOL teasing.

We went to Tate Farms and met Shawn, Bonnie, and their children. We had a really nice time. The kids loved it. The corn was their favorite thing. They loved jumping in it. They buried Bonnie in the corn. Only her head was showing. Autumn and Kyle did not like it. They wanted their mommy uncovered really fast.

We had a great time camping. I think the kids enjoyed it more than me, but that is the way it is supposed to be. It was nice to relax some. Don't have time to post much because I have a lot to do. I will try to post more pictures tomorrow.

We were able to walk up to several deer and feed them corn and pet them. All the kids thought that was neat.

What Could of Been

We were getting ready to leave for camping. Everybody was rushing around doing last minute things. Kevin went outside to hook our camper up. I was inside doing some things. My mom and dad were also here. Mom said,"Where is Brooke?"
I said "In the playroom I think." Mom started yelling for Brooke and could not find her. I told mom that Brooke might of went outside with her daddy.
Mom quickly goes outside. Brooke had went outside and not told anybody. (She never does that) Kevin was getting in the Durango and fixing to back up when he looked in the mirror and saw Brooke and heard her saying, "Daddy, Daddy."
It gave us all a scare. That is how fast something can happen. Everybody thought Brooke was somewhere, but she wasn't. If Kevin had not looked in his mirror he would of ran right over her because he had no idea that Brooke was outside. No matter how careful we are, our children can get in dangerous situations before we know it. I have to say thanks to God for protecting Brooke and allowing Kevin to see her in time.
I held her, hugged her and talked to her. I told her to never go outside without telling us. All this brought tears to my eyes as I thought about what could of happened. I tried to explain to Brooke and she got all teary eyed on me. I was using a very gentle voice with her, but I think she thought she was in trouble.
As I am typing this Brooke just came up and said, "Mommy, Can I go outside?" :) Maybe she will ask from now on. Well I really am going this time. Talk to you all when we get home. I hope all of you have a great week.

We have a extra girl at our house this week. Erica is staying with us for several days while her parents are on their anniversary. Erica and Courtney have had a blast. Erica has made me laugh so much. We gave her the name Miss Giggle Box. I tried to time her, and she can't go 5 minutes without laughing. She laughs all the time. I guess it is better to laugh than be sad all the time. We have enjoyed her being here.

Courtney, had some of her friends over Friday night for pizza and games. The girls had so much fun. I played games with them and I think they enjoyed that. They ate so much junk food.
